October 2016: Legendary Red Bull athlete, Valery Rozov, and global forex broker FXTM, teamed up in 2016 for the FXTMbasejump project, which was recently completed with a stunning world record breaking jump from Cho Oyu in China. The successful jump by Rozov took place on the 5th of October 2016, following a challenging 21 day expedition to the Southwest part of the mountain at a height of 7700 metres. The overall jump took about three minutes to perform and ended with Valery’s safe landing on a glacier, 3.5Km from the exit spot.

Early in July 2016, FXTM announced its cooperation with Valery Rozov  who is the extreme sportsman and their plans for the project. This unique partnership managed to highlight key aspects of a forex trader’s journey to reaching ultimate success through the eyes and experiences of a BASE jumper. As part of the project’s finale, Valery underwent strict preparation and training for the jump in France, Peru and Italy.

Olga Rybalkina, the CEO of FXTM described the finale as: “A great ending to what has been an amazing experience for all involved. Valery rose to the challenge of being an ideal role model and inspiration to traders and investors wishing to enter the world of forex trading. We are honoured and incredibly proud of Valery for his achievement and for proving that, just like in forex trading, having the right training, understanding, and passion for your field you have the potential to reach great heights”.

The jump from Cho Oyu is Rozov’s second successful world record, after already performing the highest BASE jump in 2013 from the Everest Massif at 7220 metres – a record which he has now broken.

Commenting on the FXTMbasejump project, Valery Rozov said: “FXTM has been a great partner from the outset of this project, right up to the final jump at Cho Oyu. We both share the same drive for offering the inspiration needed to push the limits, and together our goals were achieved with the Cho Oyu jump. I am very grateful to both FXTM and Red Bull’s support that made this project and this jump possible and I’m excited for what could be in store after this.”

The FXTMbasejump project continues with a media tour in China and a series of FXTM events held in various countries around the world. FXTM clients attending those events will have the opportunity to meet the record-holder in person and listen to Valery’s experiences throughout the journey.
